It’s been a while since I did a full-on update! I’ve posted to my Instagram {many} bump pictures but I haven’t really talked about how I’m feeling and what’s going on. So, I thought I would recap weeks 25-27. I’m currently 27 + 4 days and can’t believe I’m almost to the third trimester!

How Am I Feeling?
I am feeling good, now, thankfully. I was having terrible sciatica pain to the point I could hardly walk. I think I overdid it one weekend and it took a while to get things back to normal. I did a few Epsom salt baths and had the hubby give me a massage and took it very easy and before I knew it, I could walk without limping! I moped the entire house yesterday and my back hurts today. Not AS bad but it’s sore. I think I will have to be careful with what I do to not get back to that point I was a couple weeks ago. I told Corey he may be resigned to floor cleaning duties the remainder of my pregnancy, I’m sure he’s thrilled 😉
Besides that, I also had to wear a heart monitor for two weeks and just got to take it off last week! I had a scary episode of SVT and my heart went into insane palpitations. I had to call 911 and go to the ER. Phew, what a night that was. I swear I have some PTSD from that! I have been having minor palpitations since so I’m curious what the monitor will reveal when I have my follow up with the cardiologist. I have a feeling this is all pregnancy related fun but still good to get it all checked out.

What’s New?
We bought paint for the nursery and Corey is going to get going on it soon and I’m really looking forward to that. We have all her furniture and some baby items leftover from Callie so I’m excited to see it all come together. I went to Marshall’s a few weekends ago and picked up a bunch of décor and storage items so I’m chomping at the bit ready for it to be painted so I can get to nesting. I’ve got a major urge to nest in there!! 🙂

Cravings? Working Out?
Let’s talk cravings. They have been so different from my last pregnancy and I find it so funny. I know every pregnancy is different, but I don’t think I was quite prepared for just how different – in so many ways, ha! Anyway, I’ve been loving citrus things. I’ve been drinking lemon water nonstop, I eat at least two clementine’s every day, and lemonade is my jam! Also, ice cream. Of course! I’m thankful I’ve been able to keep a better balance this pregnancy of treats and healthy foods. I just let myself eat whatever I wanted when I was pregnant with Callie and this time, I’m trying to reel that in. I may have an off day or two, but I’ve been working hard to incorporate more fruits and veggies into my diet. When I was pregnant with Callie, I didn’t want any vegetable except the occasional salad so I’m thankful I have been enjoying them! I want to nourish my body well, so it makes me feel good when I do. I also let myself have some indulgences because – balance 🙂

I’ve been working out at least 2 days a week. I know that doesn’t sound like a lot, and it really isn’t but I’ve been listening to my body and some days I’m just so tired, that’s all I can manage. I’ve been loving the Tone It Up pregnancy workouts. They are fun and effective. I love working out my legs, butt, and arms. We also went for a nice walk yesterday and I’m excited to do that more once the weather is consistently warmer. I hope to up my workouts to 3 days a week but listening to your body is most important so we will see.

What’s Coming Up!
I’m excited for the month of April! We don’t have many set in stone plans besides Easter & my mamas birthday which is mild compared to the jammed packed busy every weekend month of May we have ahead of us! We plan to tackle all things baby girl and be sure we are prepared for her arrival. My “sprinkle” isn’t until the first weekend in May so depending on that, we may need to purchase some more things but for the most part we are hoping to be as prepared as possible come end of April! I don’t want to have to fuss with a bunch of big stuff in May. I want us to be able to relax as much as possible and just wait for her 🙂
My hubby’s 30th birthday is this week & I can’t wait to celebrate him!! Time flies, and I can’t believe the sweet 17-year-old boy I fell in love with it turning 30!!
I’ve been buying things here and there for Callie’s Easter basket and have some things I’m going to order from Target then I’m done! We don’t buy her tons throughout the year and I take Easter as an opportunity to put some fun spring/summer related things together that she would need and get anyway. I am working on a blog post all about what’s in her Easter basked and I’m very excited about it! Stay tuned 🙂
